G'day sports fans.

Yeah, I know, shit loads of time between posts.

Priceless Lad resumed from a spell at Randwick 2 weeks ago, and ran an awesome 3rd. He was trapped 3 wide for nearly the entire race, and was running them down when they crossed the line. He is racing again at Randwick tomorrow (9th June). The track is probably going to be heavy, however he has won on a slow so it shouldnt bother him. Most tipsters have him as their best bet of the day. Click here to listen to some of the comments about tomorrows race.

I'm flying down in the morning, so if anyone is keen to come to the races, just let me know :)

I'll post some more interesting information soon, i promise ;)

Unconditional :)

Our new house went unconditional last Thursday, and with any luck will settle early (Friday 2nd Feb). We went through it again today, to go over our paint samples and make sure that it will all look good :) We transplanted (with the help of Malcolm) all the plants we want to take with us, which was the chilli tree, the mandarin tree, poinsettia and our herbs, so hopefully we can plant them next weekend!!

Owning a horse that may be a champion - PRICELESS!!

Yes, yes, sports fans. Priceless Lad has won again :) Yesterday at Canterbury Park in Sydney, ridden by Darren Beadman, and won like he is going to be a good horse!! You can read a little more about it here. His record is now 3 starts for 2 wins and a 5th (unlucky 5th), with prizemoney and bonuses totalling around $40,000 (which means he as earnt more money in 6 weeks than Esprit d'Oiseau has earnt in 4 years............) Unsure where his next adventure will be, but it is likely that he will now get a start in the city on a Saturday, which is excellent prizemoney when he is a 3 year old, worth nearly 60 grand to the winner :) Needless to say, when he does get a start on a Saturday, we will be on the piss in Sydney that Saturday night :)

Our New House!!!!!

Yesterday, at 6.10pm, Shelly and I bought this house!!! We made a list of everything our new house needed, and this one fit the bill! We settle in 30 days time, so on your next visit to us, you will have new holiday accommodation!! Priceless Lad ran at Warwick Farm yesterday too. He had barrier 1 with Darren Beadman riding him, and was sitting absolutely pretty until he nearly fell coming down the home straight......not good. I am waiting on a report from John Hawkes to see that he pulled up OK. Keep following him though, coz he's a goody :)

Priceless Lad wins on debut!!

Priceless Lad finally went to the races. After a few shin sore moments I thought he was going to be a little bit like ED, however he raced at Kembla Grange on the 23rd December. Click here to read all about it. John Hawkes is unsure of his next race, whether it be out at the provincials or straight into the city :) The picture is his jockey after the race, Mitch Beadman, who I think isnt going to take long to emulate his old man.

Bad week to be famous.....or a legend.....

G'day all.

Finally, downloaded Blogger on to my laptop. I figured that since I spend a fair bit of my day on the computer, that I could start blogging again....so here it is.

As for the title, I just found out that Peter Brock was killed in a car accident whilst competing in Targa West (a rally in Western Australia), in the same week that Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray in Cairns.....at least they both died doing what they loved.

Horse updates. Esprit d'Oiseau is shitting me up the wall. He is currently in his first racing prep under new trainer Joe Pride. He ran the house down first up, beaten narrowly into 4th behind some good horses. His next two starts were on too wet a track which didn't suit him at all. He was then put in a race which was made for him, and he was (supposedly) ready. Joe Pride even got on Thoroughvision (Foxtel) and said that it was D-Day for this horse. So, me being the good bloke I am, told everyone I know to back him.......and he ran like a busted arse. He ran again last week at Kembla Grange, 25 lengths last on the turn, beaten 1.5 lengths into 5th.......basically he isn't running that bad but he's running like shit......

Anyways, he is in at Warwick Farm next Tuesday (12th September) up against some reasonable horses, however providing they don't get too much rain this weekend he should go OK. As for the other galloping tin of dog food, he went shinsore 2 days before his long awaited race debut, and still has 2 weeks of recovery before he gets back into it. Word on the street is that he is a good horse, but unfortunately words aren't paying the bills at the moment.

Babies. They're everywhere. My friends Dipa and Brendon have recently had their first baby, a boy named Sebastian, and my best mate OC (Darren) and his missus Naomi have also had a son, Brodie. They are awfully cute baby's, and Michelle is getting clucky. Our friends in Canberra, Kirsty and Steve, are also expecting their first baby in November!!! It's all happening, luckily I am a young 32......

My new job is awesome. Apart from the fact that im averaging about 80 hours a week.....but I have no-one over my shoulder and I seem to be able to bluff everyone into thinking that I know what im doing, so that works :)

Anyways, time to knock off!!! at 4.39pm, nearly a record for me to be able to get out of here before 5. I'll post some pics soon when i put them on my lappy. Hope everyone is well

He's Back.

Thursday 29th September. Gosford Race Club. Race 7 Number 1. Shit barrier, reasonable jockey....should probably go OK first up, hopefully he smashes them and then he might get a run in some of the good races over the Spring Carnival.

My new purchase has a new name too. Priceless Lad (the picture is him, taken 1 week ago). He is due to start work at the end of this week, with his aim being the Adelaide Magic Millions in Feb, then with any luck the Magic Millions up here, then the Golden Slipper!!

I like to dream.
